Materials and surface coatings vary. Test the transfer on the exact surface before beginning a large production run.

Not Recommended For

Do not apply UV DTF transfers to:

  • T-shirts, apparel, or other fabrics
  • Hats, bags, pillows, or blankets
  • Silicone or rubber
  • Raw, unsealed, or rough wood
  • Heavily textured surfaces
  • Oily or low-adhesion plastics
  • Flexible materials that bend or stretch
  • Safety-critical or mission-critical labels

For apparel and fabric products, use standard DTF transfers designed for heat-press application.

Artwork Requirements

For the best results, upload individual artwork files with:

  • Recommended file format: Transparent PNG
  • Resolution: 300 DPI
  • Color mode: CMYK recommended
  • Background: Transparent unless a printed background is intentional
  • Artwork size: Created close to the intended final print size
  • Orientation: Uploaded in the direction it should be printed
  • Mirroring: Not required

Artwork Quality Checklist

Before completing your order:

  • Confirm every design is 300 DPI at its intended print size
  • Remove unwanted backgrounds
  • Check spelling and design orientation
  • Verify the width and height of each design
  • Confirm the quantity of each design
  • Keep all artwork inside the builder’s print area
  • Leave enough space between separate designs
  • Remove accidental duplicates
  • Inspect the entire sheet for unused or overlapping areas

Very thin lines, tiny text, isolated dots, and small floating elements may be more difficult to transfer. Avoid extremely thin strokes and make small details large enough to apply successfully.

The artwork will be printed according to the completed builder layout. Files requiring corrections or manual adjustments may delay production.

How to Build and Order

  1. Select your gang sheet size.
  2. Open the Gang Sheet Builder.
  3. Upload your individual transparent PNG designs.
  4. Enter the desired printed size and quantity for each design.
  5. Choose Auto Build or arrange the designs manually.
  6. Review the entire gang sheet at full size.
  7. Confirm that no designs overlap or extend beyond the print area.
  8. Save the layout and add the finished gang sheet to your cart.
  9. Complete checkout.

Do not rely only on the on-screen appearance when checking dimensions. Verify the numerical width and height entered for every design.

UV DTF Application Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Surface

Clean the application area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Remove all dust, oil, moisture, and residue, then allow the surface to dry completely.

Step 2: Cut Out the Design

Cut the desired transfer from the gang sheet without cutting through nearby designs.

Step 3: Pre-Squeegee the Transfer

Place the transfer face down with the white backing facing upward. Press firmly across the design with a squeegee two to four times.

Step 4: Remove the White Backing

Slowly separate the clear carrier film from the white backing. The design should remain attached to the clear carrier film.

If any part of the design remains on the white backing, lay the film back down and press the area again.

Step 5: Position the Transfer

Carefully position the design before allowing the adhesive to contact the surface.

For larger designs and cup wraps, begin at one edge and gradually roll the transfer onto the item. Do not place the entire design down at once.

Step 6: Apply Firm Pressure

Press the transfer firmly from the center toward the edges using a squeegee. Make sure every part of the design has made full contact with the surface.

Step 7: Remove the Carrier Film

Slowly peel the clear carrier film away at a low angle. If any part of the design begins to lift, stop, replace the film, and press the area again.

UV DTF transfers are applied with pressure only. Do not use a heat press, iron, heat gun, or any other heat source.

Care Instructions

For the best durability:

  • Hand wash drinkware with mild soap and a soft sponge
  • Avoid soaking for long periods
  • Do not place decorated items in a dishwasher
  • Do not place decorated items in a microwave
  • Do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners
  • Do not scrub directly over the transfer
  • Avoid picking or scraping at the edges

Store unused gang sheets flat in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight.

Durability depends on the surface, preparation, application, exposure, and care. No transfer is guaranteed to adhere to every material, coating, or texture.

  3. Set it on a cleaned, dried surface and burnish firmly from the middle out
  4. Draw the clear film away at a low angle, re-pressing any corner that argues
