Bleaching / Tie-Dye

Discharge Printing
Discharge results are inconsistent on garment-dyed pigment-washed cotton, since the dye reacts differently than standard reactive dye. Test before committing.
Sublimation
Sublimation needs polyester. The SHGDD is 100% cotton, so it will not take dye-sublimation. Use DTF or screen printing instead.

Garment dyeing is done in batches after sewing, so slight shade variation between pieces and dye lots is normal and expected.
For large uniform orders, request shirts from the same dye lot. Set customer expectations that slight variation is part of the vintage garment-dyed character.
Pigment garment-dyed shirts can release a little excess dye in the first few washes, especially darker colors.
Advise customers to wash cold with similar colors for the first few washes and dry on low. This is normal for garment-dyed apparel.
The SHGDD is designed with an oversized, boxy drop shoulder fit that measures larger than a standard tee at each size.
For a more fitted look, size down one size. For the intended oversized streetwear fit, take your normal size. Share the size chart up front.
Garment-dyed surfaces can absorb ink slightly differently than standard dyed cotton, especially on darker washed tones.
Wash-test a sample on each garment-dyed color before large runs. Use standard cotton press settings and pretreat dark colors for DTG.
