DTF (Direct-to-Film)
The dense 100% USA cotton surface holds crisp DTF detail. Follow the transfer manufacturer's recommended settings and test one shirt first, especially on the heather color.
Screen Printing
The heavyweight cotton takes screen ink cleanly with strong opacity. A smooth, structured face is ideal for bold streetwear graphics on the cropped front.
DTG (Direct-to-Garment)
The 100% USA cotton is well suited to DTG, though results depend on pretreatment and wash-testing. Pretreat correctly and test the heather color first, which carries some polyester.
Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
HTV bonds well to the cotton face. Pre-press briefly to flatten and remove moisture before applying.
Embroidery
At 7.5 oz the dense cotton supports embroidery well. Use a proper backing and stabilizer, and keep the cropped body length in mind when placing designs.
Sublimation
Sublimation needs a high-polyester garment to bond. Since the SHMCS is 100% USA cotton in most colors, sublimation will not hold. Use DTF or screen printing instead.

The SHMCS is not preshrunk, so the 100% USA cotton can shrink after the first wash, especially in length on an already cropped body.
Account for shrinkage when choosing a size and wash cold, dry low. If a stable length matters, Shaka Wear's Max Heavyweight Garment Dye Tee is described by the manufacturer as shrink-free.
The SHMCS has a standard width with a cropped waist-level length and slightly oversized sleeves, which reads shorter than a standard tee.
