What Makes Numbers & Digits DTF Transfers Special

Numbers and digits DTF transfers are full-color number designs printed onto carrier film and prepared for heat-press application. Metallic balloon effects, jersey-style digits, birthday themes, decorative outlines and detailed number artwork can be applied to the garment in one complete press.

There is no cutting or hand-weeding required. This is especially useful for numbers such as 0, 4, 6, 8 and 9, where internal spaces, thin bridges and decorative details can make heat-transfer vinyl more difficult to cut and weed.

Sublimation is generally limited to white or light-colored polyester. Number DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, polyester and blended fabrics in both light and dark colors, including black cotton birthday shirts and team apparel.

Once correctly pressed, the number creates a flexible print suitable for birthday shirts, sports jerseys, milestone apparel, anniversaries, reunions, hoodies and compatible fabric tote bags.

Numbers & Digits Transfer Sizes and Customization

Choose a transfer size suitable for a small left-chest age, youth birthday shirt, standard adult front design, sleeve placement or full-back jersey number.

You can order individual digits and position them together to create an age, date or jersey number. You can also upload a fully styled number, player name, anniversary year or original design as a transparent PNG at approximately 300 DPI and at the final dimensions you want printed.

How to Apply a Numbers & Digits DTF Transfer

1. Set the heat press. Start at approximately 290–310°F and allow the press to reach a stable temperature. Always prioritize the application instructions supplied with your order.
2. Pre-press the garment. Press the blank for approximately 2–3 seconds to remove moisture, flatten wrinkles and prepare the application area.
3. Position the number. Center a single digit or carefully align several digits to create an age, date or jersey number.
4. Apply medium pressure. Press for approximately 8–15 seconds unless the instructions supplied with your transfer specify a different application time.
5. Peel as instructed. Follow the peel directions included with your order because transfer film, garment material and heat-press calibration can vary.
6. Complete a finishing press. Cover the digit with parchment paper or a finishing sheet and press briefly again to support the final texture and adhesion.

Numbers & Digits DTF vs. Sublimation and Vinyl

Sublimation can reproduce decorative numbers but is generally limited to white or light-colored polyester. It is not suitable for applying a full-color digit directly to many black, dark or cotton shirts.

Heat-transfer vinyl can work well for simple block numbers. Decorative outlines, metallic effects, gradients, internal spaces and detailed birthday themes require additional cutting, alignment and weeding.

DTF prints the complete number in full color and can be applied to cotton, polyester and blended fabrics in both light and dark colors. This makes it suitable for birthdays, sports apparel, milestone shirts, anniversaries and personalized number designs.
