What Makes 100th Day of School DTF Transfers Special

A 100th Day of School DTF transfer begins as a full-color design printed onto a carrier film. A heat press then bonds the complete design to the garment in a single application.

There is no vinyl to cut and no small elements to weed by hand. This is especially useful for detailed school designs featuring unicorns, video-game graphics, sports themes, sprinkles, numbers and small lettering.

Sublimation is generally limited to white or light-colored polyester, while layered heat-transfer vinyl requires the individual elements to be cut, aligned and weeded. DTF can reproduce the complete artwork in full color and can be applied to cotton, polyester and blended fabrics in light or dark colors.

100th Day of School Transfer Sizes and Customization

How to Apply a 100th Day of School DTF Transfer

1. Set the heat press. Start at approximately 290–310°F and allow the press to reach a stable temperature before beginning.
2. Pre-press the garment. Press the blank for approximately 2–3 seconds to remove moisture and smooth the application area.
3. Position the transfer. Center the design carefully, particularly when it includes a student’s name, grade or classroom number.
4. Apply medium pressure. Press for approximately 8–15 seconds unless the instructions supplied with your transfer specify a different time.
5. Peel as instructed. Follow the peel directions included with your order because transfer films, garment materials and press calibration can vary.
6. Complete a finishing press. Cover the design with parchment paper or a finishing sheet and press it briefly again to support the final texture and adhesion.

100th Day of School DTF vs. Sublimation and Vinyl

Sublimation is generally intended for white or light-colored polyester, which limits the garment colors and fabric types that can be used for a school celebration shirt.

Heat-transfer vinyl can work well for simple names, numbers and limited-color graphics. However, detailed artwork containing sprinkles, small letters, layered patterns or illustrated characters may require extensive cutting and weeding.
